1. What is a synergic metaphor?
When one reads a novel, the brain activity of the reader most commonly focuses on the problems within the story. But this article considers synergic reading to explore the brain activity of an author. Synergic metaphor is an example that combines the acceptance with the synergy. The image below shows the normal metaphor, that is, A is a source domain and C is a target domain, and B is the mapping. (Please see Figure 1.)
The purpose of this article is to consider the synergic training necessary to make a database of a novel, and to further make a relational database (acceptance and synergy) to study synergic metaphors.
Source domain A Humanity ➔ Mapping B Cognitive science ➔ Target domain C Brain science ➔ Mapping B
However, I assume the return from C to B to complete the image of synergic metaphor, because I will systematize the macro study of the writings.
